Employment of a Foreign Editor
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE) is looking for qualified native English-speaking candidates for the position of a full-time writer/editor of official letters, speeches, and various publications, preferably with experience in speech writing and/or editing for government-related institutions.
□ Qualifications
· B.A. or above
· In-depth knowledge or experience in related fields of economics and/or international relations.
□ Work Conditions
· Work hour: 40 hrs. per week
Monday-Friday/9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
· Remuneration: 3.3-3.5 million won, no housing compensation
* One month salary retirement allowance after one year of service
· Contract period: 1 year from August 2001 to July 2002
* Contract can be extended if the editor is found to be fully qualified
□ Screening methods
· Resume/cover letter and writing test (1st test)
· Writing and interview (2nd test)
□ Application Deadline and Testing
· Application deadline: July 13 (Fri.) by e-mail
· Announcement of successful applicants on July 16 (Mon.)
· Written test on July 18 (Wed). Candidates will be required to write an official letter with selected information and background.
· Announcement of 1st test on July 23
· Speech writing test and interview during the 4th week of July at MOCIE.
· Final announcement during the 4th week of July
* Schedule for testing may be subject to change, in case of which all candidates will be informed individually through e-mail.
